Our client is a leading regional Corporate & Investment Bank with a strong international footprint across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. As part of its continued growth in Hong Kong, the bank is seeking an Analyst/ AVP, HKMA Regulatory Reporting to join its expanding Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare HKMA banking returns, surveys and regulatory reports in timely manner
2. Perform reconciliation and data validation to ensure the integrity report submissions
3. Identify reporting discrepancies and partner with team members to resolve data and control issues
4. Monitor new HKMA regulatory requirements, assess reporting implications, and support the implementation of related changes
5. Maintain and enhance regulatory reporting procedures, governance standards, and control documentation
6. Liaise with Finance, Risk, Operations, Technology departments to support reporting obligations and improve reporting processes
7. Collaborate with internal/external auditors by providing reporting data and documentation

Key Requirements

1. Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
2. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in preparing Category 2 HKMA banking returns and regulatory reporting
3. Good understanding of HKMA reporting requirements and the regulatory framework governing banks in Hong Kong
4. Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to deliver accurate and timely regulatory submissions.
5. Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across multiple business and support functions
6. Experience participating in regulatory change initiatives, process improvement projects if preferred
7. Proficient user in Excel
8. Good command of Chinese and English
