Description
Amazon Ready is a flexible staffing program that enables associates to self-select shifts, providing agile, cost-effective labor to support AMZL operations. We are looking for a Program Manager to own associate engagement and communication mechanisms for Amazon Ready in Japan. This role will develop and scale engagement levers that improve associate satisfaction, increase pool utilization, and reinforce Ready as a dependable labor channel.Key job responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Ready engagement calendar, including campaigns, recognition mechanisms, and incentive experiments.
- Develop and execute scalable communication strategies (in-app, email, on-site) to drive associate awareness, trust, and retention.
- Partner with Ops, PXT, PR and WW Comms to align messaging and ensure consistency across channels.
- Analyze engagement data to identify drivers of associate satisfaction/dissatisfaction, and implement mechanisms to address gaps.
- Launch pilots to improve associate perception of Ready's value proposition (flexibility, reliability, career pathways).
- Define and measure success through KPIs such as engagement score, campaign ROI, associate retention, and output/hour lift.
A day in the life
As a Program Manager at AMZL JP, your day revolves around optimizing labor strategy. You analyze data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Collaborating with international colleagues, you share insights and align on priorities. You work closely with Operations, Finance, ACES, Tech, BA solving complex problems to enhance productivity. Leading cross-functional efforts, you develop and implement innovative solutions. You craft compelling roadmap for senior leadership, translating data into actionable strategies. Your focus remains on driving AMZL's success in Japan while ensuring customer satisfaction through improved logistics operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Communications, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, engagement, communications, or related roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret data to inform actions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; business-level Japanese preferred.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with associate engagement, workforce programs, or gig economy platforms.
- Track record of designing and scaling communication campaigns across multiple channels.
- Demonstrated ability to earn trust and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
